I tell people all the time how much I love my students. I feel like I have been with them forever. They do not buy my strict teacher act one bit, and secretly I just want to laugh at them and their cute little faces all the time. They love playing "bus" - a vehicle fashioned out of a jump rope, a mini bowling pin and a frisbee. My engine and screeching brakes sound effects are a big hit, as is the "Wheels on the Bus" song. My favorite thing is riding home with them in the school van - we sing, point out all the things we know in English, and wave at everyone (including the cows). The killer is when the little boys hold my hand on the bus - at that point I am a done deal. SOLD.
Boys will be boys, all over the world. These two are my older students, and they drive me up the wall (on purpose). I try to fake being angry when they act up but they have me all figured out.
Ramkumar, another one of my favorites, who is never without this grin. Even if my ruler has just whacked his desk. He routinely comes back from the boys bathroom looking like he has just had a shower.
