Many of my friends know I am sometimes lacking in the technology department (my friend Chrissy is always shocked at what I CAN'T do on a computer - she is light years ahead of me) Lots of people that I have run into over the holidays have asked to be kept in the loop while I'm in India, and I think a blog is the best way to do that. This is a big step for me, as I have been opposed to blogs since their inception. It's not that I don't support the idea, it's that I prefer to update/converse with people in person, or over the phone. But as my college gals on the West Coast will attest, I am as bad at calling as anything else, so a blog it is.
As of today I leave in 6 days for New York and leave the following day for Madras (Chennai). No, I don't speak the language so my arrival day should pose some challenges. But hey, after Vanderbilt beats Boston College, ANYTHING will look easy.
I will not post again until I get to India, other than a victory photo or two from the Music City Bowl.
Happy New Year! And pass this along to anyone interested.

happy new year!
Dear Katherine,
ReplyDeleteI wish you love, serenity and inner peace as you enter the amazing culture which is India. As a fellow seeker, I found the book "Eat, Pray, Love" a wonderful companion. Keep blogging, stay healthy and good luck on the journey!
